Tyson is a 38 year old guy who likes long periods of rest on the couch, a nice golden amber beer and Papa John's pizza....... followed immediately by extreme rapid cardio events and other activities that get his adrenaline running!

He is also someone who grew up in Northern Pennsylvania, spent 3 years in the Army, followed by 4 years at Penn State University and somewhere in there about 15 years ago got married to a great friend from high school, Kristen. They have 2 daughters, Paxton 10 and Rebecca 8.

Spending time with his family,  enjoying the outdoors and long road trips are some of his passions.  In the past he has spent time in Senegal, West Africa on short term mission trips and volunteering with youth at church. 

He has been a firefighter in the city of Seattle for 12 years. For the last 8, he's been stationed in Pioneer Square, just a few blocks away from the Mariners and Seahawks stadiums.....(and homeless people, drunks at the bars on the weekends and people who burn their popcorn in the high rise buildings)  His station also takes care of hazardous material incidents throughout the city.  So far he doesn't glow at night or hasn't grown an extra appendage.

He's been to Alaska once before and never made it out of Anchorage.  He's looking forward celebrating the birthday of 2 great guys, hanging out with the fellas and getting a chance to experience a brief adventure in an awesome part of the country.
